    1. Well Safraz if I was standing in front of front of a Booster Juice and a Jamba Juice I would without a doubt step into the Jamba juice. I’ve gone into a Buster Juice and immediately felt overwhelmed with overly sugared options. I find their menus… actually there entire store way to busy, and I don’t mean with people. Last year I took trip to LA and there, Jamba Juices are like Tim Horton’s. They were on every corner. I did a lot of hiking when I was there and visited a Jamba Juice almost every day. I find their menus simple with emphasis on their healthiest options. In my personal opinion, a lot of people unknowingly go in thinking their ordering some amazingly healthy beverage. Meanwhile they are sucking back over 500 calories with nearly 50 grams of sugar. I believe people with more knowledge of nutrition would prefer Jamba Juice.

    2. Well Milissa, it is a matter of preference. We all have a different sense of taste. However, based on their FAQ page on their website, which can be found by copying and pasting this link to your web browser, boosterjuice.com/pdfs/faq.pdf. According to Booster Juice, their 24 oz. smoothies have between 340 - 380 calories which are fat free. Moreover, they give a breakdown of our required calorie intake on a daily basis. First off, smoothies provide nutritious calories. Calories provide energy for the body and are necessary. Some drinks or foods provide only ‘empty calories’, usually with extremely high sugar and fat contents. Pop, candies, slurpies, chips and cheezies are a few examples of these. These foods don’t provide the nutritious building blocks for healthy activity and daily living. They don’t fill you up and often leave you craving more high sugar or fat snacks. Smoothies provide both your body and mind with the well-being of good nutrition. Secondly, let’s look at the ‘big picture’. An active adult male may need as many as 3000 calories per day. An active adult female may need 1800 calories per day. (Generally, calories per day for a Moderate Activity level, which is 30 to 60 minutes of exercise 3 to 4 times a week, is 16-18 calories per pound of body weight – so a 140 lb. moderately active woman may need 2240 calories daily.) It’s quite easy to fit in a 360 calorie smoothie just about anywhere. It can be part of a breakfast or a lunch replacement, maybe a post-workout smoothie or even a nutritious snack to hold you and the kids over till dinner when you’re rushing out to soccer practice. So, what Booster Juice is saying is that their product provides a healthier way of calorie intake that is needed to energize our bodies and keep us going throughout the day. Even though their smoothies might be seemingly high in calorie and sugar, I would say it is relative to what an active person needs on a daily basis. On the other hand, it provides the fibre, vitamins, minerals and carbohydrates that is not available in a soda for instance. It all depends on the size, moderation is always better. Also, don't forget their juices, its low in calories. A point to note also is that they are always open to comments and feedback from valued customers so that they can improve on their quality and service. To answer your question about their accessibility, I would say it is still a relatively new business. However, they have managed to open about 265 stores and counting in Canada which I think is amazing. So, eventually as the business grows, there will be more in every corner to serve you Milissa. Have a good day!
